Special Needs Unit Alzheimer's
Care Unit
Our Alzheimer's
Care Unit offers a holistic approach to meet
residents medical, psychological, social, and recreational
needs with an emphasis on quality of life, dignity, and
independence.
Our 30 bed unit provides 24-hour secure
care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
and other related disorders.
Care Features Include:
 | A "failure-free"
environment that is safe, familiar, and focuses on
abilities, not limitations. Our philosophy is
"doing with" rather than "doing
for" promoting dignity, self respect, and a sense
of independence. |
| Individualized care plan, open
visiting, on-site podiatry, dental, optical/optician,
psychiatrist, mental health worker, in-house
dietician, and rehabilitation including, physical,
occupational and speech therapies. |
| Caregivers are licensed and/or
certified by the State of New Hampshire. |
| All staff are offered continuing
educational programs in gerontology and the
specialized care of the Alzheimer resident. |
| Secured and landscaped garden for
outdoor activities. |
